I've got a full run of Journey into Mystery from #83 through #125 plus Annual #1.In grade they are worth around $4500 acording to OPG.
Grades run from Good- up to VF+.Keys are #83 in VG, #109 F-/F,#112 in F/VF,#124 in VF+ to VF/NM and #125 in VF-.From #96 on up came from the same source and are all pretty nice but a lot of them have a dust shadow up one edge.
What is my best alternative to selling them for the best price besides ebay?
Will the current economy cause a price drop on these?#professor#
Thanks for any and all replies#hello#

a quality set of books like that will sell on ebay, comiclink, cgc forums, here on the corral, any site with a reasonable audience especially the #83
To my thinking Overstreet Guide price represents "Prefect Storm" pricing... A collector needing the last one or two issues of a series to finish the set or a kid and his grandma wander into a store and he yells "Oh Grandma, I've got to have that Batman book!!!" You'll be lucky to get half the OS Guide price, especially in Fine or lower grade (except maybe that #83)
If you're not in a fire sale situation I think this would be a good set to open a comicsbid store with. Do your research on final hammer prices, provide good scans, put the word out here, CGC forums, STL, Ebay community (if they allow that), wherever else. Set your price and see what kind of interest you get
I love to pick these books up when I can, I think it's an undervalued early Marvel title (especially #83...)

those are some nice ones , I especially like 103 up , where Kirby began to really "dig in" to the whole "Asgard connection" and bring Thor into his own ...
the Kirby-Chic Stone team really stood out , then Vince Coletta added to the run also.... yeah , I'm trying to hang onto mine also , toyed with the idea ofd selling those under 103 but the condition they are in (VG etc..) really cuts down the $$$$... might be better to keep em.
( If I hit the LOTTO I'd buy yours in a minute)!!!!:D
