Did anyone get this issue? My LSC didn't have any. I don't know if that means they didn't order enough or if it means someone bought a whole bunch.
I had intended to look at it on the rack and determine whether or not it was worth paying the exorbitant price of $3.99.
So did anyone get one and if so, was it worth it?

I bought it and flipped through it, but haven't read it page by page yet. It looks like there are a couple good twists. I think it is worth it, but I only bought one other book, so I'm out just 8 bucks total.

I think this is hotter than expected because it was supposed to be ordered with the blank covers 'variant' for sketching.
I'm sure there was a run on those with con season getting into gear.

I got the issue and I read it. I thought it was a good take on the "Who is the Dark Avengers". The ending has me salivating for the next issue.
Also, check out Mighty Avengers #21, the issue which Dan Slott takes over from Bendis. I really enjoyed the issue, a story that harkens back in the good ol' days.

I wouldn't mind getting one of the blanks and having it sketched.

Hi JDB,
Do you want me to go to LCS and see if they have any?

The blanks for this issue of D.A. has the widest possibility for who can be sketched, heroes or villians.

So... any spoilers for those of us who are too cheep to part with $4 for a new comic? Which "heroes" comprise the dark avengers?

Maybe this will be the book that gets me back in to a comic shop :o

Sure Linda, if you're going that way, I wouldn't mind having an issue. Thanks! :D

OK, I'm going to be out and about later today so I will stop by my LCS and check and see if they have a copy! Anyone else need one? Let me know?

Surprisingly, it was pretty good.
I really liked the artwork. Deodato did much better work than Maleev on Dark Reign.
I'm not sure if i'm ready to add it to my pull list, even with a discount, but it was a cool team building issue.
Interesting cast of costumes and certainly seems designed to build aggro with the rest of the Marvel Universe.
Does anybody read Iron Man? Are the events in this issue referenced at all in this title? What's the current issue number?
Damn...Marvel has piqued my interest! I hate that.

Hey Linda,
I could go for a copy if you can get one of the Iron Patriot cover and it's not an overpriced variant.

Linda...my shipping address has not changed in like pretty much ever...it's still the same. :o
As far as I know, you have no pile with me at the current time, just those two Superman issues that I sent you last. :D

:p Yeah, for only a standard issue I'm a hard-sell for $3.99. I can pickup a nice Bronze-Age book for that kind 'o coin and have a much better feeling about it...
I will admit however, even at $2.99 the new War Machine is a pretty cool book. I just grabbed issue #2, so I'll keep that one rollin' for a bit longer.

Later Gator,
Linda
