UMM, The ASM 9 is my Good Plus with a divit out of the front cover. Probably Very Good if the divit were not there. :?

On the AMS #9 I would go with a Good Plus, that piece missing on the front cover and just the over all wear & tear I would go any higher.

On the TOS #40 I would go with a Good+, maybe a Very Good! Are all the pages attached and what are the color of the pages? But that comics has seen some wear in it's life time!! :!:

I bought that TOS #40 advertised as a F 6.0 and I think it is one. All the pages are intact, color is nice, no splits rips, tears, brittleness or missing chunks. I guided it according to my own opiniion and then compared that to what the OPG grading guide says and I think I'm right that it is a F. If not, I paid way too much.

Amazing #9 G+

TOS #40 VG to VG/F

The AMS #9 I'd give it a G. The missing chunk is a real killer.

I'd go VG on the TOS #40. It has problems with the edges. The overhang on top is dented and looks like there may be small tears. There is chipping all around. Look like there's a faint crease in the LLC. Is that rust on the top staple? Really can't tell from the scan (back cover).

I am just seeing red X's. But if I were to guess without seeing it, I would say Near Mint/Very Good/Poor. Yep, that about sums it up.

Well Gregg, maybe if I sell them ever I'll just post red X's and use your description. Who knows, with all the incredibly stoopid buyers out there maybe it will sell.

I'll say that the AMS #9 is a good/good plus.

The TOS #40 is a VG book.

Really, what are your plans for those books? Ebay? Cons?

My intentions are pure, I promise. I love those comics, I want to give them a good home and take care of them for the rest of my life. Really though, safe deposti box.
