I figured this board was as good a place as any. I likes to shows off what I buy, on occasion, and the eBay boards SUCK now. LCS was having a 50% off sale last weekend, and I grabbed a bunch of cheep fills for moderns and some other stuff. Also raided their $5 boxes, where slow movers go to get moving. Grabbed each of the following for $2.70 (incl tax). No stunning buys. They're all in decent enough grade to make that price point work for me. I like comics. Paid a whopping $119 for all the below. (Guess I gotta get selling again.)

Some very, very nice books, illuminated!! Oh I'm with you about the ebay boards now. I hate them, myself!!

Nice haul on them books, Illum. The Beast solo books could go for a pretty penny in HG.

And maybe the Pasty & Hedy book could go for mucho money for some romance collectors.

Some great stuff! :)

$2.70 each was a hefty discount off of the marked asking prices. I love those Tales From The Great Book comics. I wonder if that is the complete run of the series. :confused:

That World's Finest 80 Page Giant in the center of the bottom row is one of the earliest comics I ever owned as a child. The Superman/Batman team was a wonder to behold to a six year old's eyes! :)

Yep, it's a full run of Tales from the Great Book.

Not totally my bag, but kinda neat. I figure at $10.80 for the set, it'd be hard not to flip one day for that. First couple issues are lower grade, IIRC.

My Dad had one of the WF 8-pagers when I was a lad, in like 1979. Neat stuff. I thought it was like worth a LOT, like maybe five dollars or something. But the old Batmans from the 50s were awesome reprints. Smelled like attic.
