Please check out this great organization and this excellent comic discussion venue:

http://www.networkofdisclosure.com/index.php

Sign up to the free discussion board why doncha? Just click on the upper right. It only takes a minute or two to register. Tell 'em you came from The Corral while you're at it (for Extra-Bonus-Brownie Points! That's E.B.B.P. to the uninitiated.)

Anybody with an interest in comic book preservation, restoration, or disclosure of said restoration will be well-served, and likely discover some very, very interesting stuff.

Good folks, good info, check it out!

Be there or be square-ish!

NOD rules, give 'em a look. Lot of great posters over there that care about more than just profit - the care about what's good and right within the hobby.

If Steve Borock hates NOD enough to compare them to Nazis, they've got to be good!

Right on.

And the new NOD discussion board doesn't require membership, though at $15.00, a membership is well worth it for the collector who cares about knowing what they are dishing out their hard-earned cash for.

I read their charter a few weeks back. I like what they have to say about the hobby and their purpose. I just am unsure if its worth it for me to try to join as I am not a large seller and mainly deal in Copper/Modern books and mostly unslabbed. If they keep growing and expand more into my seller area I will definetly attempt to join seems like a very good idea.

Well I don't sell at all and collect mainly modern and I am on the board of directors and the fact you deal with mostly raw books has no bearing either. I am running for a second term and there will be a huge focus to expand and grow the organization through many initiatives.

IMO the organization has failed in many ways to reach collectors and sellers like yourself and I seriously wish to change this. That being said we need feedback in this matter too so this is one of the first things you could contribute. We actually don't always get the feedback we need from the member base.

So, if you are actually interested in the organization the best thing you could do is join and help with growing and expanding the organization. Every member can have a great influence on the direction the organization takes. I am more than willing to sponsor you for membership and even pay for your first year

PM me the details and you got a member. I will probably start as a Tier 2, but that could change depending on how it goes.

I see the application, but send me info on how I work out the sponsorship stuff and you got a modern/buyer selling member.

I'm a member and certainly not a big time dealer anymore. Haven't been
an active convention seller in 15+years. Haven't had a store in 15+ years.
I work the web, and we all know how hit or miss that can be.
I don't care about pressing one way or the other. Trimming I do.
Bleaching, I do. Marrying, I do. Color touch, I do. Non disclosure, I do.
Out and Out lying, I do. And hell, I buy purple's and green's for my collection.
I don't carry a flag for NOD, don't expect the org to change the
collecting world, but if the exposure can benefit the hobby just a tad
it'll be worth the effort.

Agreed. Every little bit helps.

And at the end of the day, regardless of where one stands on pressing or restoration of any kind, it is the educational aspect and the ethical aspect of the organization that I respect and appreciate.

I hope more of you Corralers will at least sign up to the NOD discussion board and check it out.

And for a measily $15 you can become a Member and try and help make a difference in this crazy hobby of ours.
