Heck yeah. I hope he reveals his secret stash places so I can hit them first. Then I'm heading to NC to raid all the good places up there.

Was already in NC last summer your too late. Actually I missed one shop.
I did buy 2 sets of Watchmen at about $50 I think in NM-. Got a ton of Deadpool books at $3.00 each and some other nice stuff. Very good shop right across from NC state campus with decent prices. Other shop in Raleigh was sky high on most books. Nothing in West Virginia dont even bother there. Missed a few shops in Northern NC I would like to visit again though.
I will tell you in a few weeks trying to hit places I have never been before.

Actually, if they're not directly between Columbia, SC and Lakeland, FL you don't have to worry about me. If they are directly between Columbia, SC and Lakeland, FL you still likely won't have to worry about me because I'll be traveling with an impatient 3-year-old, a really impatient 5-year-old and most importantly, a really really impatient 40-year-old.

I found it very difficult over the years to buy anything from them at a decent price let alone a steal. They even mark up basic issues well over Overstreet guide. They are my last resort when I am looking for books. I think I have bought from them twice in the last 5 years or so.
I do remember as a teenager in the 80s collecting all my loose change so my mom would write a check for books I wanted. My parents were impressed that I would take the time to write out a list of X-men books I wanted and then save my money to get them. X-men 171 was my jewel for years because it was the first book I ever ordered.

Even when Mile High has their crazy 80% off sales, they are still over-priced. And their grading stinks. Have fun on your trip. I might send you a PM with a book or two I'm looking for.

We have the annual comic/toy show here in Columbia, SC this weekend. I always pick up a few Silver Age books. I just wish 'toys' meant old Hot Wheels and not new action figures.

So went on my first of two trips this weekend hit about 6 shops on a Saturday. I found some good stuff overall and alot of shops just didnt have much. Not huge find weekend, but I did find one nice book that I have no idea of the value of it. The picture will tell you most of what you need to know, but there is one additional item that is unique its a UPC variant which you dont find many of. I am not a huge Spider fan, but at the price I paid I couldnt pass it up. I have no idea of value one it because its a sketched book they had done at a convention in 04. Anyone want to give me some thoughts on it or valuewise? Its not quite NM more like VF/NM for some micro stress marks. Only one real noticeable near bottom. What ya think?

That is definitely JRJR's sketch and sig. He doesn't appear alot in cons for these sigs. It is a nice find. Especially the newstand version being so black!

Its only half time dude. I got another half or second part of my trip to go. In about two weeks I plan to venture out before my kids soccer/baseball starts up and I got starting refing soccer games.
The highlights of my haul was small only got this one and a NM/NM- Captain America 14 as the nicest books. I got alot of $1 books that will sell for $10-20 though in stores. Not saying there werent other books out just they were either priced at guide or over because they were hot on ebay. I dont chase those unless I am looking for traffic thru my store and such. Met some new dealers that I will network with and believe or not a new store that just opened in the last 6 months.
I will detail more in a few weeks. Nothing on your books yet Satan,:( but I will keep looking. I go back and forth about the Spider book though. The shop didnt know what it was when they sold it I dont think otherwise they would have had more on it I think. Its just plain fun to go all day long on a Saturday and look for books. I only get to do it about 5 times a year.
