Man replaces lost finger with USB drive

http://dvice.com/pics/thumbdrive1.jpgWhen Finnish software developer Jerry Jalava lost his ring finger (http://dvice.com/archives/2008/11/trongs_turn_you.php) in a motorcycle accident (bike versus Bambi), his doctor replaced it with a thumb — a USB thumb drive, that is.

Concealed under the prosthetic fingernail is a 2GB USB drive, ready to pop into any computer. And no, the USB finger isn't permanently attached to his hand. Kinda disturbing if you happen to share a computer with him.
Always the developer, Javala is looking to upgrade his finger with wireless technology, RFID tag, and more storage. Just think — a Bluetooth finger. What other body parts can double as storage devices?

Dumbest thing I've ever seen. There is no human/computer interface... just like carrying it on your key chain. At least make it vibrate or something so he can have a little fun with it.
