On a cover shot for a listing, would you prefer to see a scan or a picture, providing it is clear?

Scan with an option for a high res scan upon request for books worth $50 or more.

I have tried photos. I thought they would be the solution. But I have come to the conclusion that I don't feel like spending the time required to become a near professional product photographer to get the same results that I can get in a scan
My pics do not look too bad but my scans look a LOT better.
Unfortunately the AIO scanner I have takes forever to scan a book.
I just recently purchased another to see if I could cut down the time and scan CGC books.

I use the scanner, it cuts down the time spent if you were to take pictures.

Scan is what I like but a pic is better than nothing at all.

Pictures seem faster to do for me, but scans provide better detail.

I can do 10+ pics in the time it takes me to do 1 scan with what I have now.I am nowhere near proficent with a camera but the one I have has a movement compensator thingy so that helps.I have to do a little bit of an angle to reduce glare.
Has anyone ever noticed that some scans seem to mask slight defects? Esp non color breaking stress lines. Not that important on dollar books but I did have some Miracleman books come back on me once.
I truly hate scanning in a bunch of comics.Plug & play with vista sure doesn't help any.

That's why I don't use Vista! Both my laptop and desktop are XP. Arthur's laptop has Vista and I'm going to hang on to my XP just as long as I can.
I personally like scans over pics.

I take photos, I'm trying to get images of all the ones I'm selling and at over 4,000 scanning would take forever. But if somebody wanted a scan of a higher priced issue I would do that. I can do about 15 photos in the time it would take to do one scan.
