I know I dont come around much anymore, but here is the latest drama, enjoy. Its been fun, LOL>
On September 12, 2006 the Porterville Recorder printed an article about my ex-husband Joseph Fox. In this article they listed him as having multiple stab wounds and as being a transient. My twelve year old daughter woke me up crying. They had printed material that was very incorrect. I immediatley called his sister, and at that time I called the editor and the reporter who wrote the article. We called the detectives and asked why we didnt know that he had multiple stab wounds, they assured us that NOBODY spoke to the recoder and that he died of a single stab wound.
My sister-in-law wrote an email saying we were discusted with what was written. This is the email that the reporter, Sarah Villicana, wrote her back, word for word............"From what I hear, your brother was a mentally unhealthy man living near the river. I'm sorry the wotd transient upsets you, but that does not change the fact that your brother was indeed a transient. How can you call another homeless person filthy and hold mup your brother to be something higher than what he was. I'm sorry for your loss, but I report facts, not denial. "Signed Sarah Villicana(svillicana@portervillerecorder.com)
After I met with the Editor of the Porterville Rcorder and in fact proved that he was a Outstanding Citizen of the community and indeed a Porterville resident, I was very much apologized to. Then in turn we recieved an email of her apologizing, jeeez bet if she didnt apologize she would have lost her job, so the letter was very nice, but I feel was forced.
In my opinion, she should have been fired, not only did she print an article with no facts behind it, she sent that awful hateful email to his siter. By the way His sister didnt refer to homeless people being filthy, just the one who murdered my kids dad.
