Hello everyone,
For the last two weeks I have been running into brick wall after brick wall trying to find these two books. I am looking for a Captain america variant (actually 2) which came out at this years Chicago wizard con. They were reprints of Volume 2, Issue #1. One was a color variant and the other was a sketch variant.
I wrote wizard and they told me that some other company produced them as giv-aways at the Chicago con but that they didn't know who made them or how I could get them.
Actually, the only place I can find of proof of their existance in on comicspriceguide.com.
Anyone know what I am talking about and how I might obtain these. I haven't seen them up on ebay?
Here is the link to a pic of the color variant:

Hmm.....very interesting book. There's nary a book that I can find on Ebay fitting your description. Maybe it's because the fans burned the book because Liefeld drew it? Have you tried the online shops for that book?

Have checked out a few stores with no luck.
I know, I know "liefield" and the crappy "man-boob" era of Cap!! The art blew and the storylines weren't much better...
But I have this whole ADHD completionist thing going on. Only with Captain America though.
Holy crap wait a minute, now that I think about it.... Maybe it was the "he-tits" that caused this obsession #love#
I must reflect on that for a while. #captainamerica#

No luck on that particular variant, but here's a couple that come close:
Here's a variant #2 from Wizard :

And a Wizard 1/2 mail-away variant from 1996, with everybody's favorite artiste, Mr. Liefield :

By the way, I am a Cap nut too and would consider letting loose my collection if you're interested. I am solid from 201 to 400-whatever-it-was, most near mint or better. But I would bet you are too... But PM me if you have a want list.
Happy variant hunting!

"They will be mine, oh yes, they will be mine!! Mua ah ah ah aah!!!" :x
CG,
I have a solid run of cap from #100 to last month. Everything "pretty" begins at about #177. I dropped a line in the "wanted comics" section a while back asking about stuff from 115 - 200. Trying to swap out my old readers from that period. Malaprop hooked me up with a few beauties! Thanks though. #captainamerica#
