I was just watching one of the episodes on Gilligan's Island DVD collections and it dawn'ed (pun intended) on me whether Gold Key or any other company ever did any comics based on the tv series. I know such shows as The Partridge, the Brady Bunch and the Beverly Hillbillies had either short series or stories in Gold Key and Charlton comics but I don't recall one done on Gilligan's island. Does anyone know?

I thought a Gilligan's Island comic was done but I guess not.
No listing in Overstreet under Gilligan or Dell Four Color, etc.
It does surprise me....hmmm...

Interesting. It seems to be the type of show that would have a comic series.

Interestingly enough, here's some secret insider info I have on the Gilligan's island comic, right from my uncle Wrongway Feldman....
In the 1st printing of the 1st issue, Ginger starred as the main character with the Skipper as the backup.
The Howells were the financial backers of the entire operation.
The Professor devised a printing press out of bamboo and Papaya paper.
Marianne was the penciller using octopus ink.
When the comic was done printing, they had an ingenious way to get them to civilization but due to Gilligan's regular shenanigans, all the books were destroyed.
Well, all except one copy which Wrongway Feldman slipped into his bag.
He gave it to me, does anyone want to buy it?
It's rare indeed so please start the bidding at a nice high four-digit figure!

There's no way Wrongway Feldman would have gotten the book off the island. He would have turned his plane upside down and the comic would have fallen out somewhere over the ocean. I believe your copy is a forgery. :p
