If there's anyone that can take over the reins of Robert Englund character, Freddy, he is the one. I didn't even know that they were going to reboot this series until someone at a recent comic convention mentioned it to me. I did a search and was thrilled just to see he may be offered the roll. Today, I searched again and it was affirmed that he signed. I think he'll do a heck of a good job. I know a lot of people doesn't like remakes, but some times its necessary to keep the franchise going by giving new blood to the rolls of characters that's been around for quite a long time. I'm thrilled to death, Oh did I mention that? :D I wish Jackie Earle Haley the best of luck on this new project.
