Just wondering if anyone ever partakes in the digital comics world? I have to admit I downloaded a ton of them over the last few weeks. I get so much now and have a bit of a pile still to pick up from my LCS from when I was short of cash earlier this year. The digital world at least allows me to sample and find those series which I wish to add to my pull list or to obtain for my back issue collection.

I am interested in hearing anything you folks have to say. Good, bad or ugly. (Just keep in mind I spend alot of money on new comics every month ... way more than I should in fact)

Yep ox, I download comics too. I get monthly shipments of my new issues and this way I can still read them the week they come out. It also gives me a good idea of what I like and don't like. I've added quite a few titles to my monthly orders this way. I've also been able to steer clear of the shit I don't like. Saves $3 bucks a pop per issue.

Yeah I have to admit that I will probably be going out and buying alot more back issues. Right now I am working my way through Exiles and though I am not far in I am loving it. I Never really thought much of Winick but his Exiles stuff was good. I hope the rest of the teams prove to be as interesting.

If I take a liking toall that I have downloaded my local stores may make even more moolah of of me. :)

I have read the ones on Marvels website. They seem to function well. Are you all getting them from other sources.

I have the same "waiting for my monthly shipment blues". Since my LCS doesn't leave out a reader copy (they bag every single issue :? ) this leaves me with the delima of possibly buying a copy of something that I will be getting in the mail in two weeks.

The comic companies are acting just like the record companies and fearing digital distribution. Sure duplication is easy and common but, as iTunes and many other online place have shown, there is lots of money to make on digital media. I prefer hard copies of both music and comics but new digital comics could be a much cheaper alternative for me until I had the means time and money to track down the stuff I am interested in. I have zero problems paying for a legal copy over a bootleg.

Actually if it there were legal copies easily available of new stuff I may just do the majority of my new title in digital form and just collect old in hard form.

The idea of paying ... say $30 a month for all the releases I want for the month would be kick ass. Or something along those lines. Done right it could be an boon for the comic industry.

I don't know.. there is something about holding a prized book in your hands..

watching it on a screen seems a little too much like television. Although I woulldn't be opposed.

I have to admit I still see music and pretty much all media at some point becoming free with a get two downloads every time you shop at XX, or buy product Y...

Sponsorships might make more money than sales.. especially in the comic world.

Decided to bump this up again to find out from those of you who also collect digital comics if you have any of the following. I have been searching all over for these issues with no luck so far (which mean it may be possible they do not exist):

Daughters of the Dragon #2
Negative Burn v2 #1
She-Hulk #1 (current series)
Strange Girl #1-3
Supermarket #1 and if there is anything past #3
X-Statix Presents Deadgirl #2 and 4
