If I am on the corral reading posts and leave it for awhile,5 minutes or an hour, when I come back,I have to refresh the page to see any updated posts. It takes me back to the same point at which I left, even to the point of showing the same members online.
Is this my computer or just a ghost in the machine?
A few years back,my old computer did the same thing when I logged into ebay, only it was showing a month old page to be current.I was running XP then, now I've got Vista.
What's up anyway?

Sounds more like a bug in the browser or how it interacts with vista. Check for upgrades or dump your cache and remove your cookies.

I'll ask JDB or Hoss if there is a Corral CP setting for refresh, but I don't think there is. I am Mister Computer Illiterate around this joint or I would help you out, but I agree with some of the previous posters here, it is likely a browser setting on your Explorer settings.
Have you downloaded FireFox? It's free. And a lot less hassle than Explorer.

It seems to be doing okay now. When I came home for lunch today and checked in here it was showing that I was signed out.Since I didn't have anything to say I left it and didn't log in.
When I got in this evening and came here,lo,I was logged back in.Go figure.
Do do do do,Do do do do!

Firefox is the one I use. Once you get it, you wouldn't go back to IE. Try that instead.

Please try Firefox. It is free, has far fewer virus/malware issues than IE and is regularly upgraded -automatically.
Once installed, all your bookmarks and cookies, passwords etc can be imported. Just follow the prompts.
Doesn't take long and will save hours of frustration.

Yay! Firefox!
I really don't know what could have caused those issues!
By the way, you should totally switch to Firefox!

I use Firefox too. It is less clunky than IE and everything loads faster.
