To start, I want everyone to know that I have been a fan of Wolverine for over 20 years. I think the character has a lot of depth, and it is easy to see why he is so popular.
However, what I am increasingly growing weary of is, what I would call, is his near-invincibility.
Case in point #1 : In the latest issue of his regular comic, he faces off against Sentinal, who proclaims that although he cannot kill Wolverine, he can stop/hurt him...
Case in point #2 : In the Wolverine Origins series, Wolverine states the only thing that can kill him is a mystic sword...
Last time I checked, I believe that Wolverine still needs to breathe, so if the Sentinal threw Logan into space, I am pretty sure that would be the end.
To further the point, Wolverine only has an admantium skeleton, not admantium tissue & muscle. Therefore if someone like Spiderman or the Hulk hits him in the head, the concussion he would receive would probably kill him (swelling with no place to go). The same goes for ripping out his limbs - nothing to stop this.
Am I the only one who feels this way?
