No more Corral at work.....

They finally put in place a program at work that blocks the Corral.....it was always nice to be able to check in on my time off or be able to make a quick post.....now it looks like my Corral viewing & posting is limited to nights and weekends......

Bastards! I've had such problems in the past, but I haven't had a corporate job now for almost 5 years. Big brother doesn't watch me anymore.

I don't have any trouble with big brother either. Of course my OFFICE is off my bedroom so that makes a big different!! :cool:

Bummer. They did that at my office a few years ago. Actually, they blocked all Internet traffic except those directly related to our clients. Anytime we wondered off, we had to get permission from the administrator who unblocked that particular site.

I have to go all over place in the course of my regular work, so they quickly realized that this was a Draconian knee-jerk reaction that was unworkable.

They decided to take another route; they looked up what sites we were visiting and blocked only those. I had eBay, snopes.com and imdb.com blocked, my friend Jesus had major league baseball and a stock page blocked, etc.

When we upgraded our computer system about six months ago, I think they didn't bother to put up the blocks, but I never tried; I hated seeing that big black screen with the red words telling me "This site is blocked."

I'm now telecommuting from home, so I'm able to access the net anytime, but I'm trying to police myself so I actually get some work done. Not doing too well today.

I, too, have been blocked at work. They recently installed a filter on our network. Nothing like seeing the message "Your organization's Internet use policy restricts access to this web page at this time." #shifty#

I get a similar message as well - except for the sites i can access foir work purposes and they are nhowhere near as fun asss the corral :(

For some reason the filter is no longer blocking the Corral !! #banana1# #banana1#

I can't post or see pics from photobucket but at least I can get a Corral fix a time or two during the day! (for now at least)
