Here in Jonesville,we have about 8-10 inches. Not nearly as damaging as the 5" we got right before Christmas.A tree limb took out only one section of gutter on my house but we lost electricity, cable & water for a few days then. Some folks around were without lights for close to 2 weeks.
I'll post some pics tomorrow.Fell free to add your own shots. No obscene snowmen allowed#shock#

I have about 5-7 inches before the sleet packed it down. Right now, it's snowing fine snow.

Sunshine and warm weather? Is there any other kind of climate? And if there is, can humans actually live in it? Brrrrr.
Yarmak lives on Australia's west coast, which is one of about seven geographic areas in the world that have what's known as a Mediterranean climate. Others are in southern Europe, South African, and SoCal. So we enjoy mild, rainy winters, warm dry summers, and — get this — total lack of snow! I can't find a "smug smirk" smiley, but if I could, I'd insert it here. We do get snow in the nearby mountains, though, which have an alpine climate.
Yarmak, do you get any snow around you? Here in Pasadena, we get snow in the local San Gabriel Mountains. Right after the rainstorms a couple weeks ago, the mountains were covered in snow. In fact, there's a small ski resort on the back of the mountain; it's about an hour away. Plus, there are good-sized ski resorts about 2 hours away. Day trips to let the kids play in the snow are easy and commonplace.

Hi Pasnat
no mate we do not get snow.At the moment we do not get rain either.I think we are up to day 80 without rain. All we have is blue skies and sunshine with possibly a bit of cloud
On the East coast the Snowy mountains get snow Mt Bulller Canberra and Tasmainia but not WA all we have is warm hot and hotter as it is summer tho the mornings and evenings can get a little cool not that you would notice much
Winter it is not very cold either once the sun is out

we got about 4" or so it looked like when I was shoveling this morning.
has slowed down and stop so probably only an inch, if that, to clean up after work.
it's all light and fluffy though. so probably not a true 4".

I'm in Dallas....that's Dallas, Texas, and we've got 3 inches on the ground right now at 12:30 p.m. They say we can expect up to 3 inches more today.....
This is NOT why I live in Texas. (although it IS fun to play in!)

My brother lives in the high desert town of Randsburg, CA, a living ghost town. To get there, you go to the end of the world, then five miles past that. It's on the edge of the Mojave Desert, on the way to Death Valley. And they got snow there recently. Enough to cover the ground completely.
It's that global cooling, I tell you.
