I mentioned in the what have you brought thread that I picked up a lot this weekend. I am reading Prez and by all means have no great expectations. I have issue 2-4. I get to issue 4 and figure it cannot be that bad as it has a Vampire in it. Whoa, I was dead wrong. It took awhile for the laughter to stop but here's the panels. Enjoy!

After reading 2 and 3, I just had to laugh when I saw Dracula coming out of that mini coffin. I serious could barely contain myself for a few minutes. I love DC but this is got to be there worst.

Don't leave us in suspense! Did the vampire succeed in turning Prez? Or did Prez and the indian kill him, thus costing Prez the vampire vote for the next election?
I also love the sound effects. "Claw." "Scratch." I half expected to see "Roll" "Touch" "Walk" or "Jump" as sound effects, but they started using more onomatopoetic stuff like "Squeak" and "Thud."

A couple thoughts - the vampire can't be Dracula. I can only surmize that it was a man who lost his legs BEFORE he became a vampire because the amputated legs of a vampire would regenerate (based on my understandings of how vampirism works - any injuries sustained after becoming a vampire are immediately healed except for a wooden or silver stake through the heart or exposure to direct sunlight).
What disturbs me is the depiction of cruelty to animals - the vampire "BOPs" Eaglefree's birds! It's one thing if you're going to eat them, but I have no stomach for senseless physical abuse to birds!

Does losing ones legs eliminate the power of flight?

I asked a vampire friend of mine and she said that the power of flight comes from the state of being a vampire rather than any physical traits. So a legless vampire can fly — but they have a hell of a hard time with the liftoff. Once they're airborne, they're fin.

If that legless vampire turned into a bat, would the bat have no legs?
If he turned into a wolf would the wolf have two stumped rear legs?
Now if he turned to mist I don't see any problems there.
Now for the REAL questions - let's say a guy's a werewolf, but when there's no full moon so he's in his human form... and say he gets bitten by a vampire. Would he still be a werewolf? Because essetially you have to die to become a vampire - so would that remove the werewolf curse or would he become some werewolf / vampire hybrid?
And who's wondering if the new Wolfman movie will fall as flat as the other most recent classic monster remakes (the Gary Oldman / Keanu Reeves "Dracula" or the God-awful Robert DeNiro "Frankenstein"?)
I'm a Marvel bronze guy but based on what I've seen here I must have this series.

Okay, poe, but I'm warning you; if the issue of Prez where he's attacked by a werewolf with androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness) ever comes up for auction on eBay, I'm going for it. May the better sniper win.

That Roller-Vamp issue actually could have led to a whole new genre of physically challenged monster comics.
Blind-Frankenstein, Epileptic-Wolfman, Autistic-Mummy, Joe Quesada...

I apologize for that...except for the JQ reference.
