Hi Everyone,
First I want to thank you all for your patience these last few days while I was tinkering around with the boards.
The first thing you will notice is the new look. I decided to switch to vBulletin for a number of reasons, but the most important reason was that I wanted to give you all a better board. This board is more stable, faster, and offers more features (especially many requested features) than ever before. Features I'm especially glad to announce are the spell check ( #woohoo# Linda) and the quick reply feature.
There are a TON more features that I won't bore you with, but you'll come across them as you browse and post. Feel free to post any questions you may have in the help section. I'll also post a list of the complete features there as well.
Another thing that was really important to many of you was the Corral Cash system. The CC system has been converted to our new vbBux. Any Corral Cash you had earned has now been converted to vbBux. The Corral Cash was worth less than the new Bux, so you will notice that you have less Bux than you had Corral cash. To make up for this I have credited you for posts made in the Games forum, and you will continue to earn bux in that board as well.
vbBux are earned in many different ways. Posting replies to topics, having threads you created read and replied to will give you Bux, and a few other ways. If you are an active member who logs on at least once a week, you will receive an allowance of $50 Bux weekly. Moderators can also give you Bux for winning games.
Another way to earn bux is to play in the all new Arcade. High scores earn Bux and each game carries a jackpot as well! There are a few classic games to get you started and more will be added in the future. It costs vBux to play, but you could win big!
You can also play the lottery! We have weekly and daily games.
All this can be found in the vPlaza main menu! http://comicscorral.com/forums/vbplaza.php?
Ok, so you have all this vBux! Now you can actually use it! You can visit the vbPlaza store and buy awareness ribbons, badges and more. You can also buy special items to make your posts stand out. Free play arcade passes can be purchased too. There are a ton of items/privleges that can be purchased so be sure to check it out! Some of the items are expensive and your particpation in the boards will help you earn the good stuff!
Saving for something special? Visit the Bank and deposit your vbBux and it will earn interest for you.
Soon we will resume the Comic Auctions and you can use vbux to bid on 100% free books!
In the next few days I will add the rest of the items I couldn't get plugged in. Keep on eye out for the return of The Vault by Satansprodigy as well as a few other surprises.
Again, thank you all for waiting and I hope you enjoy the newly improved Comics Corral. All the bells and whistles in the world can't compare to the great community and members we have here. I appreciate all of you who call this place home and I'm looking forward to spending good times with all of you, my friends.
Best wishes,
Hoss
