I don't read Marvel so I am thinking about purchasing a lot to cover some recent purchases I made. The lot is a low grade readers condition lot. The seller states that they are VG+ but I would say there is a mix of G to VG in the batch. So have tape on the covers and spine. I am getting the lot cheap but don't know how well they even sell in this low grade. Here's the gist of the lot:
Fantastic Four 43 up to 93 (22 issues)
Daredevil 20 up to 59 (18 issues)
Avengers 26 up to 66 (6 issues)
Do you guys think I put up these on ebay to make so extra cash. I am wondering if they could sell for 2 or 3 bucks a pop. I don't believe that there are any keys in the lot but if you know of any within the range provided please post it so I can check.
Thanks for your help!

I'd think you're looking at $1-2 each, minus fees.
Maybe $2-3. Maybe more. But you can't bank on more than a buck a book, IMO.
If it's this lot (http://newyork.craigslist.org/fct/bks/1818379001.html), I'd probably snap it up at that price, unless all the books are as trashed as that Avengers 26 in the pic.

It's a crap shoot for me. I am on the fence about it because technically I am almost paying a buck a book which is high for a flip lot for me. I wish these were DC books and would just get them and keep them ;) I just see some beat up marvel books sometimes going for some dough. So I was wondering if I could make double my money with this lot. I think I may pass on the lot. It's an hour's drive for me one way and from the pics I don't believe they are VG's. Thanks.

Well, that kind of drive takes a lot out of it. Up this way, two hour round trip = 100 miles = two hours of my life plus $10 in gas.
You may have lower mileage, but tolls to make up for it.
Ya get 60+ silver age books together in one lot, and folks can get giddy, even if they be mostly lemons, often pushing them over $2 a book. But it's not guaranteed.
Probably not worth that trip.

I actually don't get to excited purchasing to sell. It makes me more anxious than anything and I rarely do. I prefer to get lots and keep some and sell the others. This way I get something in return. I would be giddy if they were tecs or batman issues even all taped up. But the only comic that interest me in the lot is the Worlds Finest which actually does look like a VG.
Edit: Thanks for the advice. I was on the fence about it but I just don't think I can make any money on this one. I thought that too after I picked up that Spawn lot. That is why I posted this to get some feedback.

I, too, much prefer to buy for keeps or partial keeps. I'm a collector. My goal in selling is to break even, while adding some swell books along the way.
Of course, sometimes, when buying to flip something, it sticks, and I don't let go. That's the danger.
But there's no excitation about purchasing to sell. I am sitting on too many comics to get excited about much of anything anymore, except stuff I want. I've only had the one big buy this year, and that was great for me because it had almost a hundred nice keepers (bronze horror and such), and the other half paid for the whole thing.
At the end of the day, I don't need to buy comics to sell comics. I'm treading comics just to find my way to the bathroom in this place. It's a wonder my wife puts up with it.

She loves you! I am working on that break even thing and so far it is working in my favor this year. But I still have over spent on comics in the past. I am dangerous when I see comics in a garage sale. Even if they don't have anything I need or semi want I still will buy something. Of course that is saying if they are cheap enough. I end up with tons of junk that way too that is not sellable either.
