Those are great! When I was rebagging my collection last year it was fun looking at all the covers again.

What a nice bunch of comics. A really like the Spider-man 28 and 14. The 28 is much nicer than the one I have and I do not own a 14 but that is a sweet copy.

Thanx CWB, I got it on eBay when you could still get a deal.

Nice spread, Hank, but something sticks out like a pork chop in a synagogue.
It's that crappy old Four Color 386. A Duck book just doesn't belong with all those cool superhero books.
Better send it to me, just to preserve the homogeneity (it's not what you are thinking) of the collection.

Great stuff Hank!!
Almost bought a large SA collection last week of Spidey, DD, Avengers, FF and X-Men (among many other comics) but my 7k didn't match my buddies 12k offer.
Oh well.....going to have to up my offers with him now buying down in my territory!

LoL! Duffman, you and I think so much alike...we already finish each others sentences....HehHeh..homogeneity...
Batman's first, Spiderman's second, Unca Scrooge third so to me he is a super hero + I'm scottish too.
I'll get right on it sending to you! LoL!
Habib, That's too bad about your deal but there will b others... I want to get into that kinda bracket sometime too. These are just from my personal collection from 37 years of collecting.

This was actually the second reprint here - the first was in 1952, this was from 1958.

If you're going to open up a box of books, well that's a good one to open.

Thanx guys, Duff...that's pretty cool. I take it that's the equivelent to ten cents.
Probably won't have time for more for a few days, weekends are my busy times workwise but I'll see if I can add some more in a few days.
Don't want it to look like I'm showing off, I'm just very proud of my collection and the work I've put into it and love seeing the old books again so I thought I would share.

Yup, that's one shilling, one-twentieth of a pound which on the 14th of February 1966 translated as 10 cents. The more intuitive of you Corralers will readily recognise that that means an old Pound was equivalent to two dollars.
Now don't be shy, Hank, I love looking at group shots #cloud9#

So since it is free listing month, I have been trying to go through my comics to thin out the collection. Some of my comics are in Magazine boxes which I like because they are easier to go through and you can group them by genre. So I pull one that states Indies. They are more like girly books so I took some pictures. They kinda of came out a bit dark though.
Bill Woggon's Vicki Valentine. It is in the same vain as Katy Keene.

I have the full run of Charm School but got tired taking pictures plus I think the first 3 are the best anyway.

Not nearly as manly a selection as Hank's... but interesting in its own right.
The Lovebunny and Charm School comics look interesting. Who did them? And was Lovebunny as satirical as it appears, or was it straight hellacious adventure?

These comics are in a magazine box which only holds around 30 or so comics.
Charm School is done entirely by Elizabeth Watasin. I got these because I loved the cover and it just reminded me of Bewitched. The story is very simple and about a love triangle. There is something oragnic about the writer's style that intrigued me. I looked her up on the web and it turns out that she has carpal tunnel and it was painful to finish the last issues. So I hunted them down. The run is 1-9 and I only read up 1-3. It is collected as well and you can order it here: http://www.slgcomic.com/search.asp?keyword=charm+school
Lovebunny is great. It is a super-hero satire but it avoids the pitfalls of a satire for me with really warm felt moments. I still haven't read the Savage one though. The three issues are collected as well. I just rather have the single issues as the stories are not connected.
