Hello everybody, I haven't been around much because I am doing a bunch of stuff including culling my collection. I now ahve eleven longs of stuff I want to list and am having trouble figuring out the shipping costs. I am curious as to how y'all explain shipping costs in your listings and what you like to see when you buy?

Hi SS,
Here is one of my old listings so you can see how I use to do my shipping. The only time I worried about weight is if I was listing a BIG lot of comics and/or books. But a postage scale is a most and you can find some good one on ebay and not at to bad of a deal either.

Wish you luck!

I use a flat rate. This makes it easier on me and lets the customer know exactly how much it will be.

Me too. And then I combine for multiple wins and either send a new, final invoice or refund the difference if they already paid.

Wow FT, nice page. I'm not that savy yet, although my time at the coral has taught me how to post images I cannot make a pretty back ground like you have yet. Although, I think your GRADE should stand out more.
What's the flat rate y'all use. I use to use $3.75 for the first book and .50 for each additional book, but that seems so arbitrary and artificially high. At this point I am thinking that I should just say in the listing that I charge exact shipping.
Hey SS,
I use flat rate of $3.50 for media mail. It's on the high end of low, but I ship in HQ boxes and use all sorts of nifty packing materials. I really don't have to worry about losing on shipping. If the order is big enough to really weigh the box down I know that it was a good sale anyway...so it's all good!

How much do you add on for each additional? And how many will you shilp for $3.50? I think Bnwflix is now shipping as many as you win for a flat $4.00.
I charge $3.50 for unlimited.

How does that work for you? If I buy two hundred and fifty comics you'll ship them for $3.50? I don't get it.
Hey SS!
That's exactly right. The most I have ever sent out at once was like 40 books. I only charged $3.50 to ship em all. Most orders from eBay I had were only a few books at a time. Either way, you gain a bit if you sell only a couple and if you sell a bunch of em it makes up the difference in the cost of the books! 5 pounds of books still ships for less than 4 dollars.
I'm talking media rate of course.

hmmmm and this guy is trying to charge me $18 for five DC archive books. Well, I might just go free shipping soon, if I can make it work for me, but for now I'm gonna stick with using Wiley's charges. I stole 'em, I admit it.
