Not quite sure how to make my images smaller. Is there a helpful corraler out there?

Photobucket - When you mouse over the photo or if the photo menu is static, you should see a link called "link options". Select that and when the diaglog box pops up, check off Clickable Thumbnail under IMG For Bullentin Boards and Forums. Then all you do is copy and paste from the IMG Thumb textbox.

I think the image size you've selected is just fine. I've seen much worse. However, clickable thumbnails are very cool if you can manage it.
