Not only is this a reprint (either 1983 or 1988 version), but I think the guy actually stole the picture from a full issue scan I found when I googled "Action Comics #1"

I couldn't take it anymore. So I wrote the seller:

"Since your not to smart about comics I will fill you in on a little info:

1. This is a reprint (either 83 or 88)
2. You got the picture of the cover for your auction from this website:

3. Anyone who's going to shell out 5 grand for a comic book (Especially Action Comics #1)is going to do their research.

He was selling for 5000$. As usual it was from his dads estate and he "Wasn't to smart about comics"

The kicker was that he stated in the auction he was going to donate it to the Smithsonian if noone bought it!

Donate to the Smithsonian? Holy Crap!!!! If he does have that book, then donate it, he'll surely get lots of cash back in the form of tax rebates. Am I right?
