Hey everyone, I'm searching for a Batman number 212 (black cover, with commisioner Gordon and Batman talking over a dead body). If anyone has one they wish to sell in around fine condition and up please let me know. And yes Camper...I know you sold one a while ago but I missed that one LoL...

Thanx in advance!

Hank.

You are correct DT.
I did sell a copy awhile back.
I still have this nice copy but it's not for sale (tease, tease!).
But I'll keep an eye out for one.

Doug Sulipa may have one. He lists that he has 148-231. All you would have to do is email him. You don't even have to have him ship it to you you could ask him to bring it to the Madalay Flea market on Saturday and you can check it out personally and pay cash to avoid and taxes and other charges.

Hey Ox and Camper...sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. Our computer crashed right after I started this thread and I just got back on line this minute..Camp, I'm watching that eBay one and Ox I'm going to check into Doug and see if he has one. Thanx for the help!

Great cover, very difficult perspective problems there. Nice use of the white and dark contrast. Really brilliant how the cover artist uses the glove lines to break up the white and create a dark end to the white end. Look at Batman's head as compared to Gordon's...Just brilliant.

Damn, I'm trying to look up the cover artist on GCD and it's down, as well as auctiva. What's going on tonight?

Anyway, the only thing I don't like is the use of AND in Gordon's bubble, it draws the eye to the left a little too much.
And maybe, the hand that is coming out from under the sheet is a little weird, it's too big. Yeah, it's too big and too far to the left.

So, since the GCD is still down, who is the cover artist on this?

Irv Novick, according to GCD which is up now. Here's a wikipedia blurb.

And my comments about the cover's art?

About the cover's art...I just love black heheheh. I really don't know much about the entricities of the artworld but I like the cover. Camp, I lost out on the eBay one but thanx to Ox I scored a beauty from Doug Sulipa at Comic World in Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada. Doug is also a senior adviser to the Over Street Comic Book Guide for 25 years. I should get it a few days before christmas to give to Stace. Thanx for the help gang!

Merry Ho Ho's to everyone. Hank.
