Post your Aquaman collecting efforts here!

I'll start. Here are scans from my collection of the appearances of Aquaman in Showcase:

The 33 was a particularly good buy since it has a 1/8 inch chip out of the back cover at the top but that bothered me not at all. What I didn't like was the miscut left edge but the cover was so white and bright that I bought it anyway.

Awesome examples. I love the second tier D.C. covers in the silver age.

Here are scans of a couple more very high nostalgia issues for me:

The #11 was the first issue of Aquaman I ever bought. I couldn't resist it when I saw it there on the spinner rack at Ken's Variety on Wharncliffe Road in London together with Flash 139, Atom 8 and Justice League 22. I bought them all!

So impressed was I by Aquaman 11 that I responded to DC's special subscription offer. Aquaman 12 hit my mail box a month or so later. I was a bit miffed with it arriving folded in half though.

When I was a kid I loved aquaman. Some of those covers are nice. Maybe I'll start collecting those too. I just caught up on the new 52 aquaman ( had to order the first few issues). And I'm reading and wondering when DID aquaman become such a joke? Because as a kid I thought he was neat and read the comics, watched the cartoon. But I lost track and noticed him change, lose a hand, but I didn't read him any more. Now I'm reading new 52 thinking cool they're making him tough again. I was wondering when he became bulletproof though. And if he is bulletproof then how did one of those creatures bite him and draw blood?

I was bored and read the new Aquaman book #1 by Johns and Reis this week. It was enjoyable and I went to the store and got what was available there. Aquaman #4 and 5. Again good work. I think the new Aquaman is worth collecting again for those looking for a good new read. I had presumed Aquaman was just not going to be interesting but, I was wrong. They even joke about this in most issues. Good job DC.

I hear the Aquaman title is currently outselling every single Marvel title.

Wow. But that's not so surprising. I don't think marvel is currently doing anything interesting. They need to shake things up. I mean captain America is doing WWII stories. Did they run out of ideas for the present?

Wow! Talk about living in the past! Someone should tell Marvel that we're not fighting Nazis these days...

He has a solo book and several team books and the one you are talking about, Captain America and Bucky. His solo book, as usual, is taking place in the present.

Wait. So even though the captain America and Bucky book is at #620+ indicating its the main numbering scheme that isn't his solo book any more? I have to go find another series?

Hmmmmmm. Sounds like a cynical attempt by Marvel to latch onto the coat tails of the movie. Never mind the detail that letting Hollywood script writers set the direction of a comic character is having the tail wag the dog not to mention a proven long-term disaster for any character....

I've temporarily lost my scanning capability so we need to content ourselves with whatever I have in inventory. Only one Aquaman cover remains therein:

Well, there is a book, at around number 6 this month I think, that is his solo book (as I'm calling it. Meaning he is the star and it is in the present. It is pretty good. His old book is currently Captain America and Bucky. Some of it might be in the present but, mostly WWII. I'm 3 issues behind on that book.

The new Aquaman #6 was spot on. It was a Mera issue. So sad that Aquadog does not like water.
