Dell Comics are Good Comics....or were they?

Dell Comics had the slogan "Dell Comics are Good Comics."

Here is the inside front cover page from a 1955 Dell comic.

Now I understand some words then had different meanings (gay for example meaning happy) but the name Dick Hardman......I mean come on.....even in the 50's that name would have surely gotten a laugh from the guys reading the comic (I know I was LMAO in '06 when I read it).

And in the last panel I know "licked" means he beat him up......but licking Dirty Dick????? In a Dell Comic??????

So back to my original question.... are Dell Comics Good Comics?!?
