I'm back. I need to apologize for using BONA. In my haste to go on my errand I used what appears to be a proper noun. Also, BOZA appears to be a "furren" word that CG frowns upon. And BIZE is a two-letter change. Shall we go back to BONY?

I have the entry from Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.1) (http://dictionary.reference.com/help/luna.html) - Cite This Source (http://dictionary.reference.com/cite.html?qh=bona&ia=luna)

Does this mean it is a proper name? I agree about the tall mountain in the Alaskan-Canadian border though.

I corrected my mis-entry to BORA which was what I wanted to enter. Not Bize!

Yeap, Bona is a proper name since with was being used for:

Formerly, Bône. (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=B%C3%B4ne)

Since it is Bone with an accent.

I agree we should go back to BONY with rowand's PONY being the next word!

This does indeed look like a winner, but in fairness to all and according to the Rules of the Game, I will wait for 24 hours and see what kind of valiant attempts are posted before declaring a winner!

As noted yesterday, the Award will be 40 books from The Charlton Guy Collection and $1 in Corral Cash for each post up to the winning post!

Thanks for making this the longest, most agonizing yet most enjoyable Round of The World-Famous Change One Letter Game yet!

And a might-be-premature (you never know) CONGRATULATIONS to MARVELGUY!!!

Yes, it is WAY to early to decide now. Until then, the game goes on.

Congratulations Marvelguy!

What ajogingly great ending to the longest winded Change One Letter Game Marathon ever!

Your well-deserved Award in Corral cash will be added to your war chest shortly and I will get off your books post-haste!

As for a new Round of the COLG??

Give me an hour or so....I have to add a few more books to my cockamamey auction and I'll be right back.

Plus, a New Surprise Game coming up tomorrow night! Stay tuned!

It falls on me to be the Coyote, the Loki, the Abzug-Mazda, the Devil's Advocate to these proceedings. I have scoured my dog-eared dictionary in search of further entries to keep the game afloat and aflowing. I must admit a general failure to find any valid entry as of Dictionary.com.

Hence, I'm like Swamp Thing on a retreat, all ABOG over the results of the Marvelguy win. Charlton Guy knows his four letter words from AtoZ whereas the rest of us simply do not know them from AtoB by comparison.

The American Heritage Dictionary does cite a- as a prefix to be used with words like BOG to create a new word that combines the location of the base word with the prefix showing that is is in the middle of the location.
Nothing was said about any creek with or without a paddle!

Nice win Marvelguy! Nice game Charlton Guy! Everyone enjoyed it greatly!

Thanks everybody!!! This game has been a blast and a joy to play in. Never in my wildest dream I would win this with great competitors like Rowand, Linda, Jael, Camper, and anyone else playing in it. And I must not forget CG for a great game and prizes to boot. Thanks CG!!

Hang on...

Bear with me...

I can explain the wait with four simple words:

"I have five kids!!!!"

Congratulations (AGAIN! )

MARVELGUY Rocks!!!

This was perhaps the longest and hardest fought Round of the World Famous Change One Letter Game ever!!!

And say what? I never sent off my prize from a previous Round?

SO SUE ME!!!!

JUUUUUSSSSSSTTTTT KIDDING!

Marvelguy? Your books will be arriving via Dogsled very shortly....hopefully by December 15th or so...

Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN!

A well fought and well played finish to perhaps the most inconsequential and greatly ignored Round of the C.O.L Game ever!

Thanks again to all and hang in there for a new Round!!!!
