Hey guys! I know, it's been quite a while. I've been busy selling tons of comics online in Venezuela. Superman has been my bestseller, everything Superman sells out pretty quickly. Just proves that the Man of Steel is not as outdated as some thing ;)

I wanted to share a little pic with you. This was taken at a Halloween party this year. Me and my friend Claudia went as X-Men. My friend was Storm and I was Rogue! I made both costumes, they turned out great and we had a blast at the party. We won first prize, yay! Of course the price only covered half of what we spent on the costumes... but that's not the point.

From Left to Right, Comic Fanfare: Two-Face, Agents Jay & Key from Men in Black, Storm, Rogue.

Mother Earth, Brother Wind, Heed my Call!!!

The X-Men Fan Club will have another costume party in February, that time I'd like to go as Dark Phoenix and my friend as Mystique. Wouldn't that be fun?

I'm glad you're back, dpx. We've missed you. There was a rumor going around that you'd accepted a position in Hugo Chavez' cabinet and no longer had time for your funny book friends, but I knew you wouldn't forget us.

Fantastic costumes. I mean Uncanny costumes. Did non-comic people at the party know who you guys were, or was it a comic crowd?

Hey, Pas, it's good to be back :) I'd die before accepting any favor from Chávez :P I'd rather climb any mountain, ford every stream and hop the border like the Von Trapp family :D

The costumes were a lot of work, but it was great fun making them and wearing them. It was a comics crowd so we were safely recognized, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. It was actually organized by the local X-Men fan club, but much to my dismay we were the only X-Men in it. I filed a complaint with the president and he assured me the next party would be strictly Marvel, or at least stricly comic related.

As you can see my costume was a two-piece pants and shirt, I couldn't find a full body leotard, lol. The cool thing is that now I can wear my Rogue shirt as regular clothing. Some people have recognized it. Other people think I'm a fan of the Brazilian Soccer team (sigh).

Thanks, Hoss!! I've been trying to beat the Tetris record, I used to be really good in my ol' big grey Gameboy days.

Nice costumes! We almost never get people dressed up at any of our local functions. The last one was a little boy (and that was over a year ago):

I tried my best to get him to pose for a pic and show off his muscles but he was being shy. Anyhow, glad to have you back on board here, and hopefully you'll also come check out my site (http://stlcomics.com), too.

Good luck on that Tetris record. I'm the one holding it, and I can't even break it myself. #bash2#

Hey D, missed you around here lately, although I've been seeing you on eBay, I think you bought some stuff from my friend ATAKRA, no? He's here in Santa Fe with me and said he shipped some stuff to Venezuela to an ID that looked like it might be you. FIRST PRIZE WoooHoooo! I did that once at a costume contest. It feels great, and believe me, you'll always remember it.

DARK PHOENIX? Everyone is about the dark phoenix, how about the light happy pop princess phoenix? Like the Dazzler/Brittney Spears Phoenix? Phoenix has feelings too, and issues, she just needs a little love, and a little therapy maybe, she just needs someone to talk to and a hug.
Is that dude supposed to be Two Face?

Thanks, guys! It's good to be back.

Nah, same goody-two-shoes green-suit Phoenix is just not as interesting as crazy power-mad Dark Phoenix.

Ship, I haven't bought anything from an ATAKRA. Either way I use a Miami addy, so it couldn't have been me if it shipped to Venezuela.

Tetris High Score, you will be mine!!!

STL, that Superboy is a cutie! We get a lot of Otakus (Anime/Manga fans) dressing up as the craziest things at our shows, an a couple of Darth Vaders and Jedis, but not many from the comic crowd do superheroes. That's OK, because at the next convention I'll as Rogue again. Maybe I can find a real leotard online :)

What is a Miami Addy? Well, ATAKRA shipped to Venezuella, must have been someone else.
