Liked it.
Went in wanting to see explody robot on robot action but came away surprised there was actually a bit of story.
A huge cheese factor in some really bad physics at then. really detracted from what, to that point, was a pretty good movie.

Did it left it open for another one or it's a done trilogy?

Well, as with the others, it ends with Optimus making a speech about defending Earth despite humans not wanting them here.
There is nothing preventing another movie but they'd have to have some pretty fancy writing to bring the main villains back all the core villains were dealt with in some fairly clear, on camera methods.
Still, it's comics, nothing stays dead or disassembled.
And hey, there's a huge number of Decepticons that can be used.

I haven't seen it. The run time really scared me, as I thought the first two were too long, and I liked the first movie more than the second.
I'll definitely see on video, but just didn't figure this one was worth the theatre for.
As far as sequels, there's an entire Beast Wars franchise to be built.

I was bored last night. I paid to go see this. I knew it was in theater#11 on the left side on an entrance to three theaters.. I walked up, some people were standing in my way outside the entrance to theaters #11-13. I thought I walked in to theater#11. There were two other doorways to my right as I entered. I sat down. I got a great seat. I sat through endless previews. My great seat got less great as people started piling into the seats around me. A huge white guy sat right next to me and the temperature of the theater started getting hot. The long delay combined with the water I'd drank to combat the summer heat started working on the bladder. As the movie started, I needed to use the restroom. The movie starts rolling. It's not Transformers! What?! How can that be? I pull out my ticket stub. I had read that it was in #11. My ticket stub said #11. I went in the doorway on the left and theater #11 was on the left. Nah! I screwed up and walked into theater #12. Bad Teacher was playing. I thought to myself "Does it really matter?"
I pondered how long i had waited and decided just to see it instead. I'm not a fan of Cameron Diaz and I don't care anything about Justin Timberlake. It was supposed to be raunchy humor and funny. I have a raunchy sense of humor. Essentially about a third of the way through Bad Teacher I was tired of it and the heat in the crowded theater and walked out. I could've slid into the other theater, but decided I'd see just it another day.
Bad Teacher just wasn't creative enough. It was just a little too shallow despite having a few good lines. I'm convinced they used as many ugly women as possible in the cast so that Ms. Diaz could be the most attractive in the movie.
Q
See? It's BAD written all over it.

I posted to Linda's thread but I'll post here also.
I had to settle for 2-D because I took the kids and I wasn't going to spring for 3-D to look over and see they took off the glasses. You are right. The movie delivers the effects and the fact that it had a nicely paced story was a good bonus. 6 thumbs up from my crew.
Illuminated, don't let the run time scare you. I didn't notice the length of this movie and I was checking my watch during the second one 1 hour in. IMO, this is what the big theater screen and all of the loud speakers are all about.

I loved this movie. Best of the 3 by far. The humans had solid rolls for a change. The fighting could be followed. More slo mo and much less shakey handheld stuff. Enjoyed it, for what it was meant to be, from beginning to end.
I saw the IMAX 3D version and was blown away by the detail. I know the early Cybertron scene will not work on a regular screen. Our human forces kicked ass, NEST,SEALs etc.. and I could actually tell who almost all the robotic characters were, even though there were many more than before.
Left very happy.
