I'm reading Usagi Yojimbo, Fables and now The Boys. Other than that, there are no comics I really look forward to. Some I'll read and enjoy, but they're momentary diversions. I like Girls, but the story doesn't seem to stick with me. Every time I read a new issue, I have to first reread the previous one to remind myself what's going on. It's just a little too slow-paced.

But I meant what do you read from the Bronze age?

Anything with Man-Thing and Supergirl. I occasionally will read FF, Conans and Legion of Super-Heroes (BEFORE and after Giffen but not Giffen stuf as it sucks imo). I also like Romance and some monster stuff.
Sorry for the name dropping but specific issues would be a task to list as I bounce all over the map for reading in all eras.

That's good enough. I read Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes when I was a kid, and I remember that I liked it.

Currently reading the Marvel monster reprint titles. Great fun, even though the Kirby and Ditko stories are all variations of the same basic template.
I like the Iron Fist series, which I finally read all of last year.
Soon will be reading bronze era Fantastic Four as I move beyond my search to fill up the first hundred issues in my collection.

It's X-Men for me. I never tire of reading the Claremont/Byrne issues during that era. I especially love the Proteus and Dark Phoenix storylines.
I also enjoy Jim Starlin's output during those years, Captain Marvel and Warlock.

So many people are down on Starlin, I think he is great.

Iron Fist? That's a strange one, not many people are into it. Is it good?

I'm not sure what the appeal is with Iron Fist for me. Maybe perhaps because I grew up watching badly dubbed kung-fu movies in the '70s among other things. The series was written by Chris Claremont and drawn by John Byrne, before both were on the X-men.

I read whatever is currently in my unread drawer. It's pretty full right now, probably 150 comics. I read 3 at a time, can't remeber how I got into that habit. Right now I'm reading Ken Shannon #1, Jim Bowie (FC893), and Submariner #11. Next up will be Best of Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge #2, then Straight Arrow #5. Maybe I should change my name to Mr. Eclectic.

Hi people,
I am a newbie here but love my bronze age comics.
I really got into bronze age about 8 years ago. I like anything by Neal Adams, especially his Batman issues. Starlin's Warlock and Captain Marvels are awesome. I have really become an Avengers fan and enjoy Jim Shooter issues, George Perez artwork, Neal Adams work and Barry Smith's stuff. When I want something to read I grab any Conan issue.
If any of you people have any well written comics you could suggest from the bronze age, I would be interested.
Hi comicworkbench! Welcome to the Corral!
Hope you have lots of fun here!

Greetings comicworkbench.I've only been here a month or so myself. It's a great place.
Right now I am reading Thor, current and I am up to #149 in the original series. Also trying to read the new Nexus as they come out but Rude is making it kinda hard with the delays.Madam Mirage is also on my current list.Buying the Spirit but it is just too awful to read.Got burnt out on Civil War almost to the point of giving up comics again.
After I finish up with the Thor I will probably go back and re-read Dreadstar again for the 5th time(Starlin's best work, imo). Then Nexus,Mage,Fish Police and maybe the early Howard The Duck.
My bronze issues are kinda spotty at best,I only go after what I had as a kid although I do recomend Fantastic Four #102-200.Avengers #80-200,Conan #1-100.The Iron Fist run,Killraven in Amazing Adventures,The short Inhumans series and any Warlock.Silver Surfer is a must! From Dc you may also want to check out The Warlord by Mike Grell and Superboy & The Legion around issue # 220 & up.
There was some killer stuff that came out in the 1980's that you should think about also, the above mentioned Mage,Nexus & Dreadstar. Also American Flag,Sable,Badger et.el.
Dc had a good title with the Teen Titans.Worth a look see.

Thor is a cool character. The Kirby and Simonson years seem to be the highlights from the past. I only have a few Kirbys but they are in a special box.
I have the first 6 Dreadstars and really liked them. When I can afford to hunt around on Ebay again, I will track some more down. Breed was a cool Starlin comic, too.
I have most of the Iron Fist issues but still don't have #14. I had a chance to buy a beautiful copy before the X-men movie came out but I did not buy it. One of my regrets. #15 was a cool issue with Phoenix and the rest of the X-men.
The Inhumans, Amazing Adventures sound interesting. I will have to take a look. I agree with the rest of your recommendations.
I am a pretty mainstream 80s collector. I had a friend who collected Badger but I never really looked at the other titles you mentioned. I have some new titles to look for.
Last year I picked up a nice Tomb of Dracula #1 and will probably get into that title as I heard a lot of good things about it.

Welcome to the Corral, comicworkbench!
I'll 2nd toz on "The Warlord" series, the stories are very good and you can't go wrong with Mike's art you might also check out Mike Grell's Starslayer & Jon Sable too. I also enjoyed the early Dreadstars. Tomb of Dracula is very good but getting hard to get cheap in nice grades. And ya'll are right, you can't go wrong with Conan but I like it from #1 to about #130 or there about with #100 being my favorite!
