The #8 was the first Atom issue I ever bought. I remember how enchanted I was by its cover when I first saw it on the rack at Ken's Variety on Wharncliffe Road together with JLA 22, Flash 139 and Aquaman 11.

I remember buying the #9 at the Canadian National Institute for the Blind newstand at the Covent Garden Market building in downtown London. The excitement at my house otherwise that day was the selecting of a dress for my sister to wear at her prom.
