Anyone have any other hobbies/interests in addition to comics?

I used to collect stamps for a while, but I stopped when I moved to Texas years ago. I switched to comics shortly after that. I still see some pretty cool stamps here and there, but I haven't ever had any interest in starting up again.

Yep!

I play League Hockey twice a week year round.
In fact I just got back from a game. We lost from our team spending half the game with a man in the penalty box.
Hey, my fiancee bought me this gorgeous one piece composite shaft Easton hockey stick for over $100. YIKES! I used it for the first time tonight. What a wrist shot that thing gives me!!! I always used $20-$30 wooden sticks...until now.
Cost is $300 per year for the one organized league I'm in and another $250 for the unorganized shinny team I'm on.
Add another $200 for the cost of skate sharpening, new sticks, tape, etc.
So $750 per year to play hockey.

I deer hunt once a year in Mid-November. Cost is around $200 including food, etc.

I (we as a family) love fishing, hiking, mountain-biking, trail-blazing, exploring, swimming, diving, travelling.

Other than that, we're also busy with our jobs (I still have access to the internet from my office heh-heh).

Also busy with my upcoming custody trial in January. For those in the know, I finally got to see my kids (daughters 14, 10 and 9) in the middle of November (haven't seen them since June) and have seen them regularly since.
I nailed my ex in court with a Police-Enforceable Court Order with a Mutual Non-Harrassment Clause and a common public pick-up and drop-off point.
She was chastised for preventing me from spending time with my girls.
I'm also spending Christmas Day to January 2nd inclusive with the girls....great holiday time!
We are SO EXCITED about the upcoming trial. The kids want to live with us but we have to go through the proper motions to make it happen.

Okay other than that I like to play HOSS' Arcade games! :)

I collect records once in a while. But not much lately as my interest in music is faining.
I Ice skate once in a while but I am not very good at it.
I study things in books and on the internet. I'm interested in human rights and justice issues that mostly have to do with poor people and those who feel alienated by consumer culture. I do believe in capitalism, but not in it's current state.
I make art, but not much lately. When I do, I can draw, paint, make photographs and my best stuff is sculpture.
I have dogs, so I do dog stuff.
I drink, somerimes with friends, but more alone lately.
I watch movies, a lot, if that can be called a hobby.
I mess around with my computer a lot, I just got done editing my massive itunes folders to reduce the heavy load on my computer.
I'm pretty boring over all.

HEY CAMPER, I remember reading some stuff on the old corral about your divorce issues and the feedback you got from others, I think CG was one of them but without a reference I'm a little fuzzy on the details. If you'd like to tell some personal history I'd love to hear it again.

I collect LP once in awhile. I also have a fair number of CDs and mp3's and such. I love music which explains why I have well over 30 GBs of it. I also have plenty of movies.

Used to be into lots of different hobbies.
But as I get older, it seems I don't have the time or the effort to keep up with them.
Down to piddling around with the computer and selling stuff over the internet (after owning my own comic shop for over 10 years, it's a tuff habit to break).

I'm into music, but I tend to stay focused on a handful of particular artists which is a problem when they die or the band breaks up. always looking for new and interesting stuff though (Oxbladder's been a tremendous help there).

I also play guitar and write and record my own music (with a few friends). A decade ago I was playing in an active band that played live about once a month, recorded demos, rehearsed 3-5 times a week etc. Realized that I wasn't destined to be a rock star, but I still enjoy the creativity of it all.

Used to read about 3 novels a week (horror, sci-fi mostly), but now re-read books that I liked from that period.

I used to write articles and reviews for Animerica and Protoculture Addicts about anime and manga which I used to be really into. I even studied Japanese for about 5 years, and am only barely functionally conversational (with that going away too).

Other than comics, I also quilt (which I need to get back into again soon) and genealogy. That's about it for hobbies but I like to play on the internet, reading (other than comics), traveling (like meeting Arthur in Mexico) and to go camping.

Merry Christmas,
Linda

Since we have a lot of Music/comic fans, does anybody know anything about a band named Monster Magnet? They are mentioned here

Yeah, I've heard of Monster Magnet. Sabbathy-acid rock. I never really got into them.
