Hey btd!

Do you go to or set up at the Indy Con?

The Feb show is usually a pretty good one!!

used to do every show up till the mid 90's.
When I had my own store, it would become a real pain to attend as a dealer.
Hard to give any special deals or liquidate stock when your customer base would attend as well.
Haven't been recently though.
Andy's a great guy, but he doesn't do a lot to promote the show, just a local newspaper listing.

I'm going to the Feb. 25 show. I haven't been to a convention in a while, so I'm looking forward to it.

We should have the biggest set-up so it will be hard to miss us!

OH BOY!!

Get to the Convention hotel this morning to set up......show cancelled due to roof leak in the convention rooms.

Out of the six shows in Indy a year this one is usually the best one.

All that loading and unloading of the truck (and hour drive) for nothing!!!

Yep, had thought about going myself, but decided to have Family time instead (so I can sneak out to see Ghost Rider tomorrow).
Got the e-mail about the cancellation Sunday evening (a bit too late).
Supposedly it is to re-scheduled.
If I find out when, I'll post.

Habib, don't get me started. I drove up the night before through that ice storm. It took over five hours from Bowling Green, Kentucky. Then I dropped $100 on the hotel room only to find out the next morning about the cancellation. Needless to say, I was pissed.

Hey Ben.....

I know about pissed.....I was out some serious cash by not being able to set up!

Can't be pissed at Andy (the show promoter) though. The hotel called him at like 5:00 am to tell him they were not going to let anyone in the rooms. When we got there the guy who works there showed us the room and it wasn't that bad so I asked Andy to try one more time to as the manager to let us set up and she said no because it was unsafe.....

Word is there will be no make-up show this month.
Andy decided to just move on to the next scheduled date.
Any dealers who were going to attend should contact Andy, as he's promising some make up of some kind.
Same goes for attendees who purchased entry or recieve his e-mails.

Just a reminder that the Indy show will be on the 22nd of this month.
Same location and times as usual.
I'm assuming they got the roof fixed...

Sorry to say but Indianapolis is just too far away for me. I think that the only two cons I will be going to this year are going to be Heroes Con in NC and Dragon*Con here in Atlanta, GA.

If you're used to Dragon con, you won't be missing out on Indy.
Pretty much just dealer tables with a small tv for the anime showings in the entrance room.
