Hi Sellers!

Would there be any interest in having your initial thread post be "stickied" to the top of each page? Of course this works best if all of your items are listed on only the first page and then edited as you go...

What do you all think? easier? problematic?

As a seller I'd be willing to try this as I'm due to have a sales thread. Of course I like to have big pictures showing as opposed to thumbnails so that would be a ton of loading on one page. Probably not a big deal as most have larger bandwidth these days.

I think it would keep a sales thread more organized and easier to wrap your head around. I'd also use that 1st page to keep a running tally of each buyers purchases as well.

I believe the issue with an extra carriage return appearing with every edit went away so thats not an issue. Is there any maximum size limit a post can have?

Thanks, Ken

Hi Ken,

At this time there are no limitations on characters or images per post.

Hoss, is it going to be intrusive posted on every page? I sell here too but if anyone is buying they can just mosey on over to the sales forum. I say let's use Ken as the guinea pig. lol

BTW - Thanks for getting the iTrader back in.

Hi nocutename,

Do you mean if the mod will be active forum wide? The mod will only be activated on the Forum Only Selling pages. It won't be global.

I'm also looking if I can make it collapseable in case it is a large post and someone just wants to read replies only, but I'm not sure if I will be able to pull that off.

I'm glad I got itrader goin again too, without losing any previous data.

Would the thread show up as a "new post" if I just edit the 1st page? As I know I always click on "New Posts" when I want to see where the action is. If not the thread would be easily passed over until a post was added to the thread.

I don't think it would if it was edited. A quick, "Items updated" post would bump your thread back up to the top though.

Understood. Too bad, was trying to keep the rest of thread uncluttered. Not a deal breaker at all though. Thanks.

I understand Hoss. Do what you think works best. For me, I typically will just click on New Post any time I visit the corral.

I too vote to use Ken as the guinea pig.

lol. Unfortunately, it's per section and not per user. It would affect all threads posted here in this section. In the future maybe it could be used on a per thread basis, but I wouldn't count on it.

OK folks, looks like no other input is coming in and most seem to like the idea, so we will try and get the first post on every page function going for the selling board up and running later today!

Cool. I'm going to give it a try next month. Thanks Hoss.
