I thnk that this was a year that a lot of things changed.

Circa is defined as
"Circa (often abbreviated c., ca., ca, or cca. and sometimes italicized to show it is Latin) literally means "about". It is widely used in genealogy and historical writing, when the dates of events are approximately known.

For example, an encyclopedia entry for Genghis Khan may begin with "Genghis Khan (c. 1162–August 18, 1227)".

When used in date ranges, a circa is applied before each approximate date, while dates without a circa immediately preceding them are generally assumed to be known with certainty. For instance, the 1162 in the above example is approximate, but the August 18, 1227 is known."

Marvel Super-Heroes Secret Wars - Marvel's first mega-series/mega-crossover, iirc. Possible start of the Copper Age, but I tend to go with 1986.

1986 tends to be the start of the Copper Age for me. It's getting more and more clearer as time goes on that we can be able to tell exactly the state of comics now to determine the start of a new age after Bronze. Should it be called Copper? Right now, they call it Modern because it doesn't have a name yet. I think Modern or Copper age is done for because right now there's slew of books everywhere, the quailty has improved, also the rise of companies after DC and Marvel are doing really good now, not bust.

But what is the last book of the Copper/Modern Age? The first book of the New/ Current (or should it be called Modern once Copper is defined) should be?

MiracleMan was published! The perfect comic book series by Alan Moore!

Forget Alan Moore...

If any book should be considered as the capstone of the Copper Age, it's this gem from 1984:

Now THAT'S a mouse to reckon with!

Even his feet and elbows leave Atomic Fallout Destruction in their wake!

Wait a minute...so do mine...

Ahhhhh.........The Terminator, Ghostbusters, Miami Vice. Sweet memories. I remember Madonna was the hit, not the songs, just her.
Van Halen, Motley Crue, Micheal Jackson.....ughhh for today, back then he was cool.
Didn't Rubik Cube came out that year?
I remember Mondale and Ferraro (sp?) and Reagan.
Unemployment.
I was just starting junior high, what a terrifying experience from elementary school to The Big House.
Didn't Don Henley made a hit song that year called the boys of summer?
