I don't really see why off topic posts don't earn karma- or corral dollars or whatever. I can see a reason for that in the game section but everyone else posting there is still contibuting to the sucess of the corral and it's content.

Just my opinion even though I don't contribute that many posts outside teh game sections these days... maybe that's cause I'm in Japan right now.. or that I don't read that many modern comics.

Actually, I kinda agree with you. If anybody has anything to contribute to the Corral, they should receive credit for it. Just my two cents worth (not that I have that much to give).

Well, I put my two cents in too. Its too bad that we are not all considered equal. I guess on this "NEW" board you have to post in comic areas to get awarded points. So I am guessing that between that and a couple rude coments in the suggestion box about avatars that seemed to directed torwards me. Which is why my avator was removed by me. (it was a little too big, but all you had to do was let me know, instead of making comments) I am probabley not gonna be around much. I guess it doesnt matter how much you contribute. Really have had my feelings hurt all the way around. Oh well, huh......That is why I basically said my goodbyes on the surgery post in the off-topic area. There are a few of you that have always been very kind to me. So I didnt want to leave without saying goodbye.

I wasnt gonna say nothing about this, until I saw this post.

BTW I have noticed posts that probabley belong in off-topic posted in General Discussion and other areas. But why would anyone want topost there.

Please don't go away! I don't remember your avatars being that big, the only one I made a comment about was Hank's his was WAY to big but it got fixed. I'm not that happy about not getting points for posting in the "off-topic" area because I think there are parts of it that has to do with comics and the like!

Just give it some time and this corral can be as good if not better than the old one!!

Red, don't leave us! We're still mostly good eggs and I have no doubt that Hoss will come around to realize this isn't just a comic board but a community united by their appreciation of comic books. Everyone should be just as rewarded for participating. Either everyone or no one. Truthfully I liked the whole karma thing a lot better when you had to win it or have it bestowed on you rather than earn it for just posting.

Kind of takes away from the point of making good posts instead of just large numbers of posts.. of course we might just have to all post in the general discussion board until Hoss notices this thread.

Wow.......Didn't know you were so unhappy here at the new Corral.

I read over the suggestions thread and I must admit I am at a loss to find any rude comments aimed at you or anyone for that matter. If you found something offensive I am sure whoever posted the comment did not mean it that way.

As far as the Off Topic area not getting CorralCash.....I think Hoss explained on another thread why he did that. This was not meant to punish or make anyone mad.

So have some of my CC, mrsredsun!!.....and just enjoy yourself and have fun here at the new Corral! You are a very valued member!!! (we want to see mrredsun posting, too)

Hey guys!! It was Sillyship who offended me. Not anyone of you. When I said something in the suggestion box, he posted right after me with "why is the avatar bax so big, and also about scrolling problemsin another" But as soon as I took my avatar out it was smaller. (3 pg suggestion box) He just came across rude to me. I dont know wether or not it was directed at me, just really seemed like it. He has about 4 other topics started in discussion box that seem to be very close to off-topic.

In no way was I asking for or wanting your corral cash. It wasnt the point, just wanted to feel like maybe my posts matter, too. I understand the reasoning behind it, just dont agree with it. Anyways, I wasnt gonna say anything because I knew you guys would talk me out of leaving, or wouldnt see what I was talking about or both.

So anyways, you guys know I dont usually try to make waves......not in my nature. Not waves by complaining anyways......

Hi Mrsredsun, "Hell no..we won't go"! Don't go away, this place is different but I don't think anyone meant anything to you personally..We need the female counterparts on this to keep it from turning into a garage LOL. I know we haven't been posting much lately either but since our two moves we've been working really hard to catch up on things and it's still going to b awhile (we were really screwed by our movers). Annnd yes my third post here was a BIG avatar but I don't know anything about resizing and editing so I asked Hoss to fix it for me...I wasn't doing it on purpose. if it helps you can have whatever Corral cash I do have so can whoever does that please give mine to Mrsredsun please. I hope you're feeling better about things (physically and mentally)...I'm still finding my way around here too. C-ya!

I'm a little behind on the posts so I am trying to catch up here and answer posts as I read them. I have 5 days of posts to catch up on so if I miss anything I will try to respond later on.

I never have thought of the CorralCash as a way to reward only certain posters. I devised the system this way so that it would help grow the comic areas of the board since it IS a comic forum. It never even crossed my mind that some folks would feel slighted by this decision.

I hope that you can reconsider your decision and stay on board as an active member.

Every post is important and whether or not it earns fictional dollars shouldn't affect the true value of the post. It's not what you get for making the post, but what the post is saying. That's where the true value is!

As far as the avatar thing, I haven't seen that post. I working on a fix to permanently solve the problem with the gigantic avatars.

Anyway, I really hope you decide to stick around. You are a great member to have around.

I already said everything is fine, between the sugerie(with messed with my hormones) and my love going back to work, I was depressed and emotional. It really is no big deal, I usually dont give a fuk what people think or say about me. (just check all the sex posts) lol. I cried for an hour that morning. I didnt even tell Rudy until I had calmed down because he would have got upset. I knew then it was probabley just me. But he gets pretty protective for me. (and BTW he can HOLD grudges) LOL.

Ive had my head elsewhere latley, too bad its too juicy for you all!!! Checking out a few other forums, and websites regularly. Trying to get back in the norm of things, plus I will be typing left handed by monday.

It is a riff of the old Book/movie "If it's Tuesday, this must be Belgium!" about the packaged tours of Europe sold to all of us Ugly Americans in the 60's. We couldn't have rocket through 20 countries in 20 days faster if we had had booster rockets stuffed where da sun don't shine. The only slow downs were at the borders.

I was on such a tour, fourteen countries in seventeen days (actually fifteen days not counting the travel time to and from the US). We rushed from place to place, woke up early and went to bed late. It seemed like most of the time we were in trains or buses. Imagine just spending only 1 1/2 hours in the Louvre. We didn't even have any time to go into the Colosseum. When we go back, we will definitely not go on a tour.

jaeldubyoo you should write the book "The 90 minute Louvre!" now that much of the museum is available online that is about as much as a classroom could see in one lesson plan worth of exposure. The book should feature yerself in typical attire and NIKE running shoes sprinting past the truely great works of art.

Cut up the collections that would involve a month long visit into each of the main areas into chunks small enough to process, even for kids in our school system.
