I managed to finally score a copy of the ever so elusive Wonder Woman #97! I have been trying to get a copy of this book for a better part of three years now. Zipper68 just missed winning one for me a year and a half or so ago, maybe five came up in okay shape mixed in with a bunch of uninteresting stuff selling for way too much money, three or four beater copies came up that I passed on, a month ago I was about to score a slightly lower grade one when the internet at one of my jobs went down right when I was going to bid, then another beater came up which i passed on. Tonight though I scored this pretty copy:

Advertised as a 6.0 but looks more 5.x-ish to me. There was another WW (#99) with it too.

Best thing is a local dealer who I sold and traded off a bunch of stuff I did not want is paying for it for me to take care of the trade credit he still owes me. :D

It's no Solobodian Copy or anything but I am on cloud nine right now! Only 52 more copies of first series to go and LOTS of hard ones left to find but I was sure I was cursed not to get this specific issue after trying so many times in the past with nothing but pain to show for it. IT TOOK THREE DAMN YEARS!!!

Congrats on the book, Ox. It looks beautiful as well as the effort it takes to get the book in your hands. So, how about posting some scans of some older Wonder Woman's that you have, that would be a great thread.

Yeah it is a really neat cover. Actually it goes really well with #64 which is a black dinosaur cover. (I posted that image in my other thread)

Thanks Hoss. I am really happy with it. It is probably the highest grade one I have seen in the last two years and I managed to score it for much less than I expected. Maybe the Fates knew that it was coming and foiled all attempts until this one.

The book just arrived today. Here are some link to some high rez images. I would appreciate guesstimations of the grade. Pages are OW-W and paper quality is very good.

Oxbladder, my guesstimate is 5.5. It has too nice an overall appearance to rate a 5.0 and in my opinion it isn't clean enough to make the FN 6.0 grade.

Good news. Just curious, is there anything about #97 that makes it more desirable? I've got a #42, and other than it is a race car cover, don't know that it would have any special appeal.
