Printing Errors

The double cover thread got me thinking - I have had a number of double covered books over the years including a ton of hulk and iron man, but what about printing errors? many of them were corrected before too many books got released..

for example I have about 8 issue of Green Lantern 175 which don't have numbers printed on the cover. I called Diamond back when it happened and they offered to replace them, but they told me only one box of 300 issues of that comic were shipped before they caught the error and fixed the problem.

Hard to imagine they are actually worth much but you never know.. wish it was a key issue!

Wasn't there some sort of printing error on Batman 307 (not the Whitman copy)?
Most copies where the number and date are on the front cover are slightly faded (see first link) but the odd copy doesn't have that faded box (see second link).

Well, we start getting into the "variant" issue/problem of overvaluing due to perceived scarcity, instead of some actual value determinant or demand driver. But collectors are a funny bunch, of course, so it's not out of the question that there are some out there who will pay a premium for a printer error.

Here's another type of printing error. Anybody remember this one? Marvel put out a couple of Dennis the Menace digests back in 1982. The printers printed the Marvel digests with a box on the cover that reads, "THE BIGGEST LITTLE BUY IN COMICS" with the DC logo.

As for printing error,I have a MK Spiderman/Daredevil #1 that has the interior pages all screwed up. The first half of this book has like the middle third of the story at the beginning and the last half of the book also has the middle third of the story. This is weird, I don't know what to call it.
