I've been a buyer and seller on eBay for almost ten years now and I've read some of the most ridiculous comic descriptions;

My favorite is always - GUIDE VALUE NM = $5,000. Then you see a picture of the book, it has a half of a cover, looks like it went through a washing machine, and goes on to say, VG+ copy only $4,000 rare!!

Or how about this one: CGC 9.8 "Buy it Now" $126,000. I really think they should have two additional comic categories:

The "I don't know crap about comics or grading" and the "I'm Asking 1000 Times Guide Value for my Comic" categories.

Just Venting..................Happy Collecting to All, you can see my listings on eBay, seller name: acistaro.

Later,
Armand

I'm willing to bet that it was removed because it was a reprint edition that the seller thought was an original. :roll:

That is correct.
He had the photo for the 2006 reprint edition that actually says "Copied Edition" right along the top.
Thanks to GIFFLEFUNK on the eBay boards for posting this link....

You can see the photo he posted in his auction is second from the bottom.
I didn't even know this copy existed until now. It has everything the same as the original including the sweat beads, the black line, the yellow trim and the fender glare except for the writing at top.

Heh.

Don't these people know about eBay's lister fees?

Yikes.

Ignorance is bliss until you get the bill.

I thought this sort of item happened every 10c posting day. Last time around some guy was auctioning his wife's PMS for $40,000 or so.
