My Comcast email has been hijacked

I figured this out & made a change over before any damage was done. What's the reason I can't use a gmail account for my email address at the Corral?

I've got gmail but it's been the same for a long time so no problems with it.Seems like I remember Hoss or JDB posting something about this after the rash of hacking took place around here.A lot of web sites won't allow gmail because it's free.Yahoo is another and I guess there are several.I had to use my verizon email to get on the cgc boards.

I think some sites feel that allowing free email addresses will open up the spamola gate.

Unfortunately, gmail has been added to the Corral email blacklist. This is due to the sheer number of Spam/Bot accounts that use gmail to register their accounts.

I hate computer viruses and hackers. My computer whiz friend and I spend about three hours last night trying to get some stupid "Vista antispyware" spyware virus of my computer at home and still didn't get it out completely. It has buried it self all over the place. We have a few other things to try but if they don't work its wipe everything and start all over again time.

People who come up with and spread these things should be publicly flogged and then dumped in a ditch to rot.

Consider looking into System Restore if you can identify when you received the virus and you haven't install anything since then that you want to keep. Sometimes its a no frills way of curing a virus. Your mileage may vary and past returns are no guarantee of future earnings. Good luck. Ken

I am sure that my techie guy knows that trick but I will mention it to him. He also has a list of other hardware and software that he hit me over the head with and which I will be getting once this is repaired. Good thing I just finished all of the work to get him a promotion and a 25% raise at my full time job, otherwise I would be buying a new computer....
